The right sidebar is a powerful organizational tool that enhances your research workflow in Anara. When viewing any document, you can access the sidebar to reveal three key sections designed to help you navigate, contextualize, and interact with your research materials more effectively.

Details

The Details tab provides comprehensive citation information about your document, including:
  • Author names
  • Publication information
  • DOI (Digital Object Identifier)
  • External links
  • Document summaries
  • Custom tags
This information helps you properly cite sources and quickly understand the document’s origin and relevance. The Related tab connects you to associated research by displaying:
  • Papers that cite the current document
  • Papers cited within the current document
  • Related files from your Anara library
  • Additional relevant publications from across the internet
This feature makes it easier to discover connected research and explore related topics without leaving Anara.

Annotations

The Annotations tab displays all your highlights and comments for the current document. To create annotations:
  1. Select text in the PDF viewer
  2. Choose to highlight or add a comment
  3. Review and filter all your annotations later in the right sidebar
Annotations help you mark important sections and add your own thoughts directly to the document for future reference.
